A fika is a Swedish tradition of taking a "deliberate pause" within the work day. Back in the 18th century, royals issued a coffee tax and banned the consumption of coffee. Similar to the prohibition era, coffee consumption became a secret. In order to bring the two together, "Hidden Fika" will combine color, texture, rhythm and form to present a space in which both rest and productivity merge seamlessly within industrial Eskilstuna.
